Every Year during the Conch Republic Festival Paulie Walterson hosts a block party at his home in New Town. It started as a party just to cheer up his neighbors after the flood from Wilma in 2005. Now 7 years later it is the largest gathering of Key West Conch's and a few Freshwater Conch's like myself. Paulie's Band the Bubba System and a host of local talent provide the entertainment and the food is all home cooking form neighbors and friends. Its a unique Key West celebration.
