The music in Havana is everywhere and diverse. Almost every tavern had at least a small group playing local music and old standards.
Cuban musicians are very resourceful. Many percussion instruments are homemade. Microphones and speaker systems are only available in the finest facilities. Yet the music is rich and full and uniquely Cuban.
