At first glance Cuba looks like the land that time stood still. One sixth of all cars in Cuba are pre-1959 American cars. Its simply amazing in such an impoverished nation to see so many of these cars in good shape with solid bodies and paint jobs and shiny chrome.
The Cuban people take pride in keeping their US cars on the road. Parts are in short supply because of the embargo, but somehow these old relics keep rolling along.
